Susan Fuhrmann (born 30 July 1986), known as "the Fuhrmannator", is an Australian international netball player. Fuhrmann debuted for the Australian national team in 2006,[1] and was also a member of the Australian team that won silver at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, gold at the 2007 Netball World Championships and gold at the 2011 Netball World Championships. She uses her height advantage to intimidate her opponents, especially Irene van Dyk, New Zealand's top shooter.[2] Fuhrmann plays in the ANZ Championship for the West Coast Fever, where she is the tallest player in the competition.[3][4] She previously played for the Perth Orioles (now West Coast Fever, 2007) and the AIS Canberra Darters (2004–06) in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy.[5]

ANZ Championship

Fuhrmann plays for the West Coast Fever and is the tallest player in the competition along with Queensland Firebirds Romelda Aiken, both standing at 196 cm. Fuhrmann is described as one of the most fierest GK in the competition. With her high jumps and strong movement, Fuhrmann is one of the most feared players. She remains with the Fever in 2012.

Australian Diamonds

Fuhrmann has earned herself 33 Test Caps for Australia. Playing against the likes of New Zealand's Irene van Dyk and Jamaica's Romela Aiken, Fuhrmann is one of the most pivotal players in the team. She played GK in the Grand Final of the World Netball Championships in Singapore, being replaced by Laura Geitz at half time, and played GK during the Grand Final of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
